In 2013 Nicola was nominated for Best Cinematography in a Documentary at the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Awards.

Nicola has a very strong documentary background including the ground breaking series 'Go Back to Where You Came From' for SBS and Cordell Jigsaw, which won the 2013 AACTA for Best Documentary Series, the 2012 Australian Logie for Most Outstanding Documentary and the 2012 Rose d’Or for Best Factual Entertainment.
Nicola has also shot 'Sex: An Unnatural History', a 6 part documentary series for SBS and Matchbox Pictures starring Julia Zemiro.
Nicola has also shot the 2012 landmark series for ABC 1 'Great Southern Land', and most recently two documentary features for the cinema; 'I Am A Girl' and 'Aim High in Creation' for renowned AFI winning Director Anna Broinowski.
Nicola has also shot numerous observational documentaries including the Channel 10 series 'Recruits' for Cordell Jigsaw. She has travelled all over the world, in 2012 she visited 12 countries! Nicola also worked on Curtis Levy's film 'The Matilda Candidate', and with renowned documentary Director and Producer Tom Zubrycki on his last film, 'The Hungry Tide', which premiered at the 2011 Sydney Film Festival and screened at IDFA in 2012.

In the past five years Nicola has worked with some of Australia's leading documentarians including Sascha Ettinger-Epstein, Pat Fiske, Rebecca Barry, Tom Zubrycki, Anna Broniowski, Ruth Cullen and Jessica Douglas-Henry. Nicola loves travelling, meeting people and cinematography, and documentary encapsulates all this and more.
